"Francisco" - thats a fun word

Ghirardelli Square
Of course we had to visit the famous Ghirardelli chocolate factory and get some yummy chocolates. Then we went and got some ice cream and I am pretty sure that Tylee ate more than 1/2 of the shake that was for me and Brandon to share. What you do for kids.....

Like mother like daughter - You can tell she loves it!!

More things San Fran has to offer:

This doesn't even do it justice but the streets there are so so so so SOSO steep. It's crazy. They park their cars almost sideways.

LuMbAR Street: aka - the crookedest street in the WoRLd

My world revolves around these two...... Literally

$ PRICELESS $

The wildlife there was pretty fun...

This lil guy was quite far from the pier 39... at least he can swim

Last but not least... The Golden Gate:

The golden gate bridge took 4 years to build.
Eleven men were killed during the construction
It is 1.7 mi long including the entrances
There are 128 lights installed on the bridge roadway
It is one of my favorite places

Aquarium at the Bay

I took all of these pictures. The Jelly Fish were one of my favorite things. They are AmAzAzing.... They are basically see-through. You can see the water on the other side. "Totally Awesome DUDE" - Finding Nemo. I hope seeing these pictures makes you want to go watch that movie

Me and the Hubby in front of the Jellies. I thought it would be fun to give it a little coloring book effect.

This is my favorite picture that I took out of all the many pictures that I took this day. It completely blows my mind to see how these little guys look and what they can do.

A TRIBUTE TO THE JELLIES

In honor of these fascinating creatures I decided to come with a list of ten facts about Jelly Fish ...

1. Jelly fish have no bones
2. Jelly fish have no brains
3. Jelly fish have no hearts
4. Jelly fish have no eyes
5. Jelly fish have been around for over 650 million years - they outdate dinosaurs
6. The box jellyfish kills more humans than any other type of marine life
7. A jellyfish can be up to 8 ft. and its tentacles can stretch to be half the length of a football field
8. Jellyfish are made up of more than 95% water
9. There are over 200 species of "true jellyfish
10. Jellyfish are symmetrical

Along with the jellyfish, we saw a lot of other amazing creatures. We saw whirlwinds of fish, sharks, starfish and more. I even got to touch a starfish, and some other fun creatures. They feel so cool.

Here are some other fun photos of the aquarium at the bay.

"Francisco" - thats a fun word

WELCOME TO CHINA TOWN!!!!!!!!!

Our first real day in Cali we decided to have a bit of fun. We got to our new temporary home early Saturday morning. We had driven all night and we were really tired. We decided to hit the grocery stores and fill up the empty refrigerator and cupboards with some food and snacks. Later that day we went to the pool for the first time. Our apartment complex has many pools FIVE 5 to be exact! I am just fine with that :) After spending a few hours catching rays we did the shopping. We ate at Five Guys... Pretty good competitor to IN-N-OUT I would have to say and then we came home and hit the hay. The next (The first day in our new home) we woke up and got ready and decided to drive some more. We drove to San Francisco which is about an hour drive and went into the city. We ate at a little hole in the wall called House of Nan King... Deelish mmm! Then we went to see the sites. First we visited the famous china town....
In one little shop we went to the chinese people had food just waiting to be killed and eaten. Can you say shrimp? :) These little buggers were still swimming and crawling all over each other. I'm not a big fan of shrimp so I ended up just feeling bad for the lil guys.

I absolutely love fairy tales. I wonder if these toads/frogs are awaiting a kiss from a princess so they can become a prince... or are they waiting to be on a dinner platter?
I'm not exactly sure what the middle thing is but it just looks gross. It's kinda funny what people will eat. Especially in China Town. If I had to live there and eat like them, I think I would starve. BARF!!

MOOving Day

We decided to leave for the new sales job on April 29th 2011. This just happened to be the week right before our USU finals. With Brandon taking 12 credits and me taking 18, this was a BIG deal. We had to push everything up a full week. I ended up taking about 12 tests including a final paper within 5 days. Can you say sleep deprived?! It was worth it though. I now have another 18 credits under my belt. We packed up my toyota avalon with everything that we needed. Our car was jam packed. We put Brandon's jeep rack on the top of my car. I will add a picture of my car as soon as I get it. (It was taken by Brandon's parents). For now this is the closest thing I can get to what my car looked like :)

We left at about 10:30 p.m. Utah time and drove until 8:30 a.m. California time (9:30 a.m. Utah). We drove ALL night. It was worth it though because the next day we had a full day to get things ready for the busy week. Here are some pictures of Tylee in the car driving. She was a little sport. She did really good and slept for almost the entire ride.

The second picture she was sleeping on my lap in no man's land. I know it isn't safe but the poor thing couldn't stay comfortable in her car seat. So I cheated a bit and held her on a pillow on my lap for a portion of the drive. On the way we had to stop a few times to fix the bungy cord on the top of our basket rack. It kept breaking, so we visited the good 'ole flying j's to get new cords. When we got to our new apartment we started to move everything in. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. After putting mostly everything in its 'place' we decided to take a nap. Thus consists of the day we moved to Stockton, California.

Beginning our Journey!~

After struggling with a decision of whether or not we actually wanted to do summer sales, we had to make a decision... Did Brandon want to try out Security sales or Pest control? From what I have heard Pest control sales are a much easier sale, but security has a greater potential to earn more but is a harder sale. We decided to take a leap.. With nothing to lose and everything to gain, we decided to go for gold and do security. Brandon's cousin Brett Langford is a sales manager for Pinnacle Security so of course we decided to go with him. Pinnacle here we come. I decided to be the field office manager (a job of gathering paperwork, scanning, auditing, and just whatever work they need me to do) just so that we had a little bit of money to rely on if selling wasn't a life for us. *Plus the free Ipad didn't seem to bad either :) This is a little about what we are doing this summer in Stockton California. There has been much that has happened already and I will continue posting about this amazing page in our life :)
